"For me it means a lot to create these sirens.  I took up the original idea of my brother Pablo Demetrio García Vasquez, he was a cultural promoter and part of the gender diversity LGBTQIA+ like me. He unfortunately died as a result of the covid at the age of 35.

The Muxes are part of Zapotec culture of the Istmo of Tehuantepec, they don't identify themselves as men or women, that is why we created them as sirens. it is a pride to transmit and make known the identities of my state "
